Daoist Energy Arts

and The Way of Tea

November 29th to December 1st 2019,

Au Tournant du Coeur, Monts Sutton, Québec, CANADA

Movement, silence, regeneration :

From theory to practice, a retreat to cultivate internal energy, stillness of the heart and luminosity of the spirit,

according to the fundamental principles of daoist self-cultivation.

The theoretical aspect will explore the fundamental principles of daoist self-cultivation, so as to develop an integral and efficient practice : mutli-dimensional cosmovision from the Dao to the Ten thousand beings; unity of Heaven, Earth and Human; energetic physiology of human beings; internal cultivation of energy, heart and spirit. This exploration will allow us to understand the concrete framework of human embodiment and the working of its energetic vehicle according to daoist principles, so as to find clarity in the direction of our path of practice, whether spiritual, martial or for healing.

Practice will engage all aspects of the person, in a progressive and harmonising manner, integrated in each moment through mindfulness.

The physical practice will be composed of movements combined with specific breathing methods, visualisations, and internal circulation of energy. The practice of Yang Sheng Gong of the Wudang Pure Yang lineage 武当纯阳养生功 detoxifies the organs, opens the meridians to promote the circulation of Qi and blood, and restores mobility and vitality. The practice of Qi Gong of Wudang Heavenly Horse 武当天马峰气功 purifies and strenghtens the energetic field, to heal and to nourish our spiritual practice.

Spiritual practice will be established through meditation, so as to regenerate energy, cultivate stillness of the heart and luminosity of the spirit.

Furthermore, we will have the opportunity to attend daoist ceremonies at dawn and dusk. Composed of daoist scriptures and incantations that are sung and recited 早晚功课, those ceremonies are practiced everyday in all daoist temples of the Complete Reality Dragon Gate lineage 全真龙门 in China. They will align and harmonize the frequencies of the place and of the collective so as to support spiritual practice and healing.

The Way of tea 茶道, joining a set of movement in one, gathers and unifies our consciouness, filling daily life with moments infused in the here and now.
